3rd Week of My OJT


Day 1 Today I started my new job at the library. I had to encode and carry books all around the library for the whole day. It was hard work, but I enjoyed it. I organized the books on the shelves according to the library's cataloguing system. I was glad to have the opportunity to help out the library and to learn about the different genres and types of books. Day 2 Today I continued to encode and carry books around the library. I got to know the library a bit better and observed the different customers that come in. I also got to talk to some of the staff and learn how they organize the books on the shelves. I am slowly getting used to the system they use, and I am confident that I will be able to do it with ease soon. Day 3 Today I was able to encode and carry books around the library with more confidence. I am getting to know the layout of the library and where to find the different genres. I am also getting familiar with the different cataloguing system and how to organize the books on the shelves. I am starting to have a good idea of how to do things and I am confident that I will be able to do it with ease soon.

Day 4 Today I was able to quickly encode and carry books around the library. I am starting to get used to the cataloguing system and I am confident that I will be able to do it with ease soon. I am also getting faster at putting the books on the shelves and I am learning how to group the different genres together. I am getting to know the library better and I am starting to enjoy my job more. Day 5 Today I was able to use my knowledge of the cataloguing system and quickly encode and carry books around the library. I am getting faster at putting the books on the shelves and I am confident that I will be able to do it with ease soon. I am also getting better at organizing the books and grouping them according to genre. I am getting to know the library better and I am starting to enjoy my job more.

Day 1: For today, I'm compiling all of the thesis books I had scanned and edited. It felt like a daunting task, as there were so many books to go through. I started off by organizing the books into categories and then began the process of scanning and editing each one. It was a long and tedious process, but I managed to scan and edit five books today. I feel like I made a good start and am looking forward to continuing tomorrow. Day 2: Today was my second day of compiling the thesis books. I managed to scan and edit seven books today. 7th Week of My OJT Journey

  (Didn't have the time to document myself as scanning and editing really eats all of my time. For that, I apologize.) Day 1: Today was an interesting day. I had to transfer from my usual job of encoding educational books to scanning and editing thesis books for two days. It felt a bit strange at first but I was determined to take the challenge and make the most out of it. Even if it's far from what I've expected, I am still going to miss the cold and the aroma of the books that surrounded our station. The first thing I noticed when I started was that the books, I was working with were quite different from the educational ones I was used to. 12th Week of My OJT Journey

My OJT Journey at the University Library: The Last Month and Week Day 1-5: (No More Work to do) My experience working as an intern at the university library has been rewarding and instructive. But my journey has unexpectedly come to an end. My boss informed me that there was no more work to be done during the last month of my OJT. Since I had been enjoying my work and was anxious to learn more, I was both shocked and dissatisfied. My supervisor clarified that the library was unable to retain me for the balance of my internship due to financial limitations. I remained upbeat and happy for the experience I had so far despite the setback. In my final month, I spent time learning about the duties and responsibilities of staff members and librarians in several departments. I also took some time to consider the lessons I had learnt and how I may use them in the future.
